On Wednesday, August 5, 2020, the Afghan Institute for Strategic Studies (AISS) organized webinar on “Afghanistan-China Bilateral Relations”. This webinar was accompanied by Dr. Wang Shida, deputy director of China Institutes of Contemporary International Relations (CICIR), Tamim Asey, executive chairman of Institute of War and Peace Studies (IWPS)/former deputy Minister of Defense, Dr. Zhou Rong, lecturer at Renmin University of China, and Ferdaws Kawish, Journalist. Also, the meeting was joined by the researchers from the two institutes, AISS and CICIR. During this discussion, both sides shared their views on the ongoing peace negotiations with Taliban and the prospects for any peace settlements in Afghanistan. In addition, they discussed the future of Afghanistan, areas of mutual cooperation and bilateral relations as neighboring countries.
