The Afghan Inistitute for Strategic Studies (AISS) co-organized the third round of “Afghanistan, India and Iran Trilateral Dialogue” in NewDelhi, India.
The one-day meeting, held on June 7, 2019 was attended by experts and officials from the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Republic of India who shared their views on the expansion of relations between the three countries in political, security, economic and cultural spheres.
The meeting officially inaugurated by welcoming remarks of Ambassador Sujan R. Chinoy, Director General of IDSA followed by special remarks of Dr. Seyed Kazem Sajjadpour, President of IPIS and Dr. Davood Moradian, Director General of AISS.
In this round of dialogue two working sessions were organized under the following themes 1) Emerging Contours of Regional Geopolitics; 2) Strengthening Partnerships; and concluding session.
The meeting is a joint initiative between the Afghan Institute for Strategic Studies (AISS), the Institute for Defence Studies and Analyses (IDSA) and the Institute for Political and International Studies (IPIS) of Iran.
The first round of this meeting was held on 24-25 July 2016 in Tehran and second round on 1 August 2017 in Kabul.
